Units

Curriculum units under “Movement” include anything to get young performers more comfortable in their bodies and stronger in their physicality.  Topics can include pantomime, dance, mask work, animal imagery, etc.

Students will demonstrate their ability to interpret and respond to artistic mediums and their understanding of physical viewpoints by creating, rehearsing, and performing a 2-3 minute silent group scene in response to an artistic work.

Using Imagination and Movement to Respond to Art by Jennifer Ansted

Students will demonstrate their ability to interpret and respond to artistic mediums and their ability to interact with imaginary things, become objects with their bodies, and express emotions and ideas with their bodies. The will do this by creating, rehearsing, and performing a 3-5-minute silent group scene in response to an artistic work.
