Lighting Purposes

Description:

This is a three-lesson mini-unit that was taught the couple days before a beginning Stage Tech class went into the auditorium to learn how to hang lights, work the light board, and gel the lights. While it is not a full-length unit, these three lessons could be inserted into a Stage Tech class at any time when the class is not building, etc.

Lighting Lessons:

Lesson 1:  Lighting Function and Purposes

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE:  Students will demonstrate their understanding of Lighting function and purposes by completing a worksheet.

Lesson 2: Analyzing Lighting in Movie Musicals

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE:  Students will demonstrate their understanding of lighting purposes and functions by analyzing a movie musical.

Lesson 3: Lighting Board

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE:  Students will demonstrate their understanding of the Lighting Board by filling in a worksheet.
