{"id":5066,"date":"2017-05-19T18:48:18","date_gmt":"2017-05-19T18:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=5066"},"modified":"2017-05-19T18:48:18","modified_gmt":"2017-05-19T18:48:18","slug":"rehearsal-bingo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=5066","title":{"rendered":"Rehearsal Bingo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lesson 7: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rehearsal Bingo<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Students will be able to improve their scenes by using a rehearsal bingo to work on the feedback they received from previews.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drama Journals<\/p>\n<p>Bunraku Puppets<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warm Up<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Have students pull out their drama journals and have them sit in their puppet scene groups.<\/li>\n<li>They should go through the feedback that they wrote down from their previews. As a group they must decide on at least three things they want to work on today from their feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Activity<\/strong>: Rehearsal Bingo<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Write out a table that is 3 x 3. Have students copy the table into their journals.<\/li>\n<li>Inside the boxes will be 9 tasks the students must complete.<\/li>\n<li>Improve Feedback Item 1<\/li>\n<li>Improve Feedback Item 2<\/li>\n<li>Improve Feedback Item 3<\/li>\n<li>Time Run \u2013 students will time and ensure their performance is between 3-4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Flocking\/Breathing Back to Back \u2013 students will practice unifying their breath through previous activities.<\/li>\n<li>Story Map \u2013 students will physically write down a map showing the structure of their scene.<\/li>\n<li>Perfect Run<\/li>\n<li>Show Teacher<\/li>\n<li>Show &amp; Tell \u2013 students must show and watch another group will providing feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Students should finish each task and sign off on it before the end of class.<\/li>\n<li>Give the students the class to rehearse.<\/li>\n<li>Give them time reminders to help them get through all the tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Remind students that they will have 15 minutes at the beginning of class next time to warm up before their performances.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lesson 7: Rehearsal Bingo &nbsp; Objective: Students will be able to improve their scenes by using a rehearsal bingo to work on the feedback they received from previews. &nbsp; Materials Drama Journals Bunraku Puppets &nbsp; Warm Up Have students pull out their drama journals and have them sit in their puppet scene groups.
