Utah Shakespeare Festival High School Shakespeare Competition Ballots:<\/p>\n<p>Monologues: <a href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/543d9f0fe4b0f38ea78e8f45\/t\/555a4622e4b049f671d874a5\/1431979554972\/Buckingham+Actor+Mono.pdf\">https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/543d9f0fe4b0f38ea78e8f45\/t\/555a4622e4b049f671d874a5\/1431979554972\/Buckingham+Actor+Mono.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scenes:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/543d9f0fe4b0f38ea78e8f45\/t\/555e0ecae4b024df8cbe9845\/1432227530233\/Buckingham+Duo-Trio+Acting.pdf\">https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/543d9f0fe4b0f38ea78e8f45\/t\/555e0ecae4b024df8cbe9845\/1432227530233\/Buckingham+Duo-Trio+Acting.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HOOK<\/p>\n<p>Have students stand in a large circle and warm up together.\u00a0 Go around the circle and have each student lead the rest of the class in one warm-up move (either vocal, physical, stretch, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Give students 5-10 minutes to run through their piece, change into costume, gather props, etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>PERFORMANCES<\/p>\n<p>Have students perform their pieces and evaluate them based on the Utah Shakespeare Festival High School Competition ballots.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After each performance have three students each share one thing they loved about the performance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>REFLECTION<\/p>\n<p>After everyone is done performing, have students pull out their writing journals and respond to their performance.\u00a0 How do you feel you did in your final performance?\u00a0 What would you change if you had the opportunity?\u00a0 What are you most proud of?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gather everyone together and discuss how they felt about applying Stanislavsky\u2019s work to Shakespeare\u2019s writing \u2013 what worked for them?\u00a0 What discoveries did they make in their own acting process?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Remind students that they are working to develop their own acting system, and Stanislavsky has some great tools to add to their toolbox that they can draw on later in future acting projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lesson 11: Stan\u2019s Performances &nbsp;
