Use research and script analysis to revise physical, vocal, and physiological choices impacting the believability and relevance of a drama\/ theatre work<\/p>\n<p>TH:Pr5.1.II.a. Refine a range of acting skills to build a believable and sustainable drama\/theatre performance.<\/p>\n<p>TH:Cn11.2.II.a. Formulate creative choices for a devised or scripted drama\/theatre work based on theatre research about the selected topic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials: <\/strong>40 Rubrics for final assessment grading<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Lesson-10.Acting-Techniques-Final-Performance-Rubric.docx\">Lesson 10.Acting Techniques Final Performance Rubric<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong> Print rubrics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starter:<\/strong> Write on the board, \u201cWhat acting methods or techniques that we studied during this unit were your favorite and why?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to turn in your paper!<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Transition<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Today will be a performance day! Take the next 5 minutes to quickly run through scenes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Activity 1:<\/strong> Performances<\/p>\n<p>After each group performs, allow the students to give verbal feedback to the groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong> Great job! Awesome creative choices!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Assessment Scoring:<\/strong> Students will receive 20 participation points for the day. They will get another 5 points for the starter. Their final performance will be graded out of 60 points, and their final papers will be graded out of 60 points as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Adaptation:<\/strong> Students who may need extended time to rehearse may come in during the MAP period, or finish next class.
