Perform a released drama\/theatre work for an audience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Play a quick game of charades to warm students up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: <\/strong>Have students perform their final movement pieces.\u00a0 Use the rubric for evaluating the performances.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Have students jot notes as they watch the other performances \u2013 what was their favorite moment and why?\u00a0 Share the observations\/thoughts\/notes together as a class when everyone is done performing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0 Have students write a few thoughts answering these prompts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can using your imagination would be helpful in theatre performances?<\/li>\n<li>Where else can using your imagination be helpful in life?<\/li>\n<li>How can you better use your imagination to create movement and storytelling?<\/li>\n<li>What was your favorite part of creating this response to the art work?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lesson 8: Performance Day \u00a0 Objective: Students will demonstrate an ability to respond to a work of art and understanding of the facets of movement by performing their 3-5 minute group scenes. \u00a0 Standards: TH:Pr6.1.8a.
