{"id":4662,"date":"2016-02-18T17:12:36","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T17:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=4662"},"modified":"2016-02-18T17:12:36","modified_gmt":"2016-02-18T17:12:36","slug":"designing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=4662","title":{"rendered":"Designing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LESSON 5-Designing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational Objective: <\/strong>Students will design a voice and a puppet for their character in the script they wrote previously.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clip \u201cMiss Piggy Gets Fired\u201d from <em>The Muppet Show<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Each student needs a piece of paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook: <\/strong>Show the clip \u201cMiss Piggy Gets Fired\u201d from the <em>Muppet Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step: <\/strong>Tell the class that they are going to create puppet shows in order to tell the stories they wrote last time.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step: <\/strong>Have them get into their groups and on the backside of their scripts create a cast list.\u00a0 This should include the names of everyone in their group and what parts\/characters they are playing.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step: <\/strong>Once they have completed this short task tell them to each get out a separate, blank sheet of paper.
