{"id":4596,"date":"2016-02-17T21:33:18","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T21:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=4596"},"modified":"2021-04-24T05:49:52","modified_gmt":"2021-04-24T05:49:52","slug":"preview","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=4596","title":{"rendered":"Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LESSON 7-Preview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational Objective: <\/strong>Students will demonstrate their ability to receive and give helpful feedback to other scene partnerships by previewing their scenes for peers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Supplied Needed:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preview group rubric\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Lesson-7.Scene-Group-Preview-Sheet.docx\">Lesson 7.Scene Group Preview Sheet<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook<\/strong>: Gather everyone into a circle and have them pick just one of their lines and one of their tactics from their scene.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> <strong>Warm-up two.<\/strong>\u00a0 To get the energy going and to keep them aware of their body, do the warm up <em>\u201cI Feel So Good\u201d.<\/em>\u00a0 Lead the students in this first.\u00a0 Start out shaking or moving their bodies as much and as big as possible while yelling \u201cOoo, I feel so good. Ya, like I knew I would. Oh, I feel so good!\u201d\u00a0 The Leader slowly makes their motions and voice smaller as the rest of the group follows.\u00a0 At the end you should all be whispering the line and laying on the floor only moving your finger.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When the line is almost imperceptible, jump up move around like you did in the beginning while yelling the line one last time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2: Review<\/strong>\u00a0 Review the criteria for the preview grades as you pass out the grade sheets they will use to sign each other off.\u00a0 Each group should observe 2-5 other groups. Each person gets their own group preview sheet \u2013<em>see Supplements<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have 3 tactics and 1 clear objective<\/li>\n<li>Must use proper staging practices and 3 clear stage pictures.<\/li>\n<li>Must have Facebook Profile for characters completed.<\/li>\n<li>Must show an understanding of physical traits and vocal variety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3: Rehearsal.<\/strong> Designate a practice area for each scene partnership.
