Directions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Anticipatory Set\/Hook<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before students come into class, arrange the desk\/chairs into groups of three (3) around the room.\u00a0\u00a0As students enter the room, hand them a piece of paper that says:\u00a0\u00a0Discussion Leader OR Scribe OR Spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Instruction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1\u2014<\/strong>Have the students find people who have been assigned a different responsibility.\u00a0\u00a0Each group must have a Discussion Leader, Scribe, and Spokesperson.\u00a0\u00a0Then, have the groups sit in chairs in the pre-arranged areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2\u2014<\/strong>Distribute the Set Designer Worksheet.\u00a0\u00a0Have each group discuss the first question\u00a0<em>(What is a set designer?),\u00a0<\/em>with each member of the group fulfilling his\/her responsibility.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Discussion Leader conducts the discussion<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Scribe notates the discussion<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Spokesperson will present the group\u2019s conclusions\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Give the students 3-5 minutes to discuss the question and come to a consensus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step\u00a03\u2014<\/strong>Ask for a volunteer scribe to write the points on the board while each group presents their conclusions to the class.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step\u00a04\u2014<\/strong>Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each of the following
