dramaturg to the production team by researching various topics for the play and creating a play bill (program) for Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Materials Needed<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Computers for each student (arrange to use a computer lab for this lesson)<\/p>\n<p>Manilla folders or Directions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Anticipatory Set\/Hook<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do not let the students sit down.\u00a0\u00a0Have them stand in an open area with their books, backpacks, etc. in hand while taking the roll.\u00a0\u00a0Then, walk down to the computer lab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Instruction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Directions:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Upon arriving at the computer lab, select a specific area of computers or to have students sit.\u00a0\u00a0Then, have them choose a computer so the students are not spread throughout the lab.\u00a0\u00a0(This will enable you to conduct discussions and interact with students easily.)\u00a0\u00a0Have students log on to the computer with their own school usernames and passwords.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>\u2014When every student is logged on, instruct the students that they have the entire period to work on the dramaturg section of their Production Book.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Explain the Expectations and Consequences of this work day:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expectations:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Students are expected to use the time wisely.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Students will do their own will be required to submit all work at the end of the immediately, and<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Students will not be given work time in the future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3\u2014<\/strong>Continually monitor the students throughout the class period.\u00a0\u00a0Maintain close proximity with students by walking around the room, checking students\u2019 work which includes creating their play bill.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4\u2014<\/strong>Keep the students apprised of the time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Ask students if they need any help.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Make certain students notate their research.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If students need to print, advise them to combine and edit so printing is at a minimum.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7<\/strong>\u2014Have students wind up their research and close down their computers a few minutes before the bell
