Ask the other half to draw a name out of the bowl to find out who their partner for today\u2019s class will be.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Instruction<\/h4>\n<p>Step 1\u2014Ask for partnerships to volunteer to demonstrate their favorite moves. After a few moves have been reviewed,<br \/> Ask: What types of things can be done to transition from one move to another?<\/p>\n<p>Have the volunteers create the suggested transitions to see how they work.<br \/> Ask: Did the transition work? Why?\/Why not?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Step 2\u2014Explain that students are going to work on a choreographed fight.<br \/> Hand out copies of the Practice Fight to all the students.<br \/> Tell them that they need to memorize them and present them at the end of the week. Announce the day\/date of the Preview.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Step 3\u2014Explain the Expectations and Consequences of this day:<br \/> Expectations: Students are expected to use the time wisely.<br \/> Participation points determined by how much is accomplished.<br \/> Students will be required to submit all work at the end of the period.<br \/> I will be available to help, clarify, and answer questions.<br \/> Consequences: Today\u2019s work day will end immediately, and<br \/> Students will not be given work time in the future.<br \/> Check for Understanding.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Step 3\u2014Continually monitor the students throughout the class period.
