{"id":1330,"date":"2015-03-26T18:18:06","date_gmt":"2015-03-26T18:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tedb-wp.byu.edu\/?page_id=1330"},"modified":"2015-05-13T21:57:24","modified_gmt":"2015-05-13T21:57:24","slug":"lesson-10-shakespeare-final-performances","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/?page_id=1330","title":{"rendered":"LESSON 10: Shakespeare Final Performances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(this may run over one class period depending on the number of Shakespeare performances there are in the class)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE:<\/h4>\n<p>Students will demonstrate their understanding of acting Shakespeare by performing their Shakespearean monologue or scene.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>MATERIALS NEEDED:<\/h4>\n<p>Shakespeare Performance Evaluations \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tedb-old.byu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Acting-Shakespeare-Evaluation-Sheet.Lesson-10.docx\">Acting Shakespeare Evaluation Sheet.Lesson 10<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>HOOK:<\/h4>\n<p>Have Renaissance music playing while the students come into the classroom and take their seats.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>STEP 1:<\/h4>\n<p>Transition \u2013 Conduct a warm-up activity to clear the nerves of the students. Give the students time to change into costume and run through their piece using costumes and props.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>STEP 2:<\/h4>\n<p>Performances \u2013 Have the students perform their Shakespearean scene or monologue for a final grade.
